We are back after a pause and today chatting with Gabriella Blakely of Oregon, who won the 2022 Tevis Cup with horse Pyro with a time of 17 hours 9 minutes. The Blakeley family is no stranger to the Tevis trail and has arguably created a family tradition and legacy around Tevis. Stay tuned because at a later date we will be sharing more information on a new book authored by Gabriela's daughter Samona Blakeley about Samona's journey to her 2019 win at Tevis. Her book is called Chasing Dreams: The True Story of the Youngest Female Tevis Cup Winner.

Today on Endurance Horse Podcast I have the pleasure of chatting with lifelong endurance rider, Cameron Holzer. Cameron has been involved with horses and endurance from a very young age. Cameron has 14,000 lifetime AERC miles and has represented the USA at the 2018 World Equestrian Games. This year Cameron and her homebred mare, CH Fancy Finesse, made it into the top 5 finish at Tevis 2022 placing 5th. Such an amazing accomplishment to have bred, raised, trained and competed on a horse that was once just a dream, and idea come to life.

Christina Hyke, creator of Endurance Horse Podcast and WARHORSE Endurance Challenges. In 2021 Wisconsin State Horse Council named Christina ‘Horse Person of the Year’ for her philanthropy, her work with Endurance Horse Podcast and WARHORSE Endurance Challenges. The previous year Endurance Horse Podcast won an international award given by Equus Film and Arts Festival.
Chris lives in southern Wisconsin with her sweet husband, Jim and their children. She has always loved the trails and spent every moment she could spare out riding for as long as she can remember.
It was the love of covering miles through beautiful territory hiking, running and riding on good horses that inspired her to create both Endurance Horse Podcast and WARHORSE Endurance as places where riders for riders to share stories with others from around the world.
